E-bike Installation
The video below demonstrates the initial setup and installation of an EbikeScabbard on the front of an e-bike with front suspension. The process is straightforward and typically takes about 5–10 minutes. As shown in the video, once the “L” brackets and clamps are properly positioned and tightened, the scabbard itself can be installed or removed in just a few seconds.
The scabbards were originally designed to be mounted on the front of the bike and easily removed when not in use. That said, there is no single “correct” mounting location. About half of our users have reported mounting their scabbard on the rear of the bike, and that works perfectly well, too. The EbikeScabbard can accommodate a variety of mounting positions, so the best setup ultimately depends on your bike and personal preference.
This makes it easy to install the scabbard on your bike in the parking lot before heading out to shoot, remove it when you return, and store it in your vehicle, garage, or elsewhere when not in use. When you're not shooting, you can ride your bike without the scabbard or any extra mounting hardware attached.
Every bike is a little different, but most fall into a few basic geometry categories. The EbikeScabbard's adjustable extrusion, “L” brackets, and clamps are designed to accommodate a wide range of bike configurations and mounting positions.
Some users have also removed the clamps and bolted the “L” brackets directly to existing mounting points or braze-ons on their bikes. With these installations, the padded liner can still be easily removed and stored away when not in use, helping protect it from unnecessary exposure to the elements.
