E-bike (Initial) Installation

The video above demonstrates the initial setup and installation of an EbikeScabbard shotgun scabbard on the front of an e-bike with front suspension. The process is straightforward and typically takes about 5–10 minutes. Once the “L” brackets and clamps are properly positioned and tightened, the scabbard itself can be installed or removed in just a few seconds.

EbikeScabbards were originally designed for removable front-of-bike mounting, allowing you to easily remove the scabbard when you’re not shooting. However, there is no single “correct” mounting location. About half of our users have reported that they prefer mounting their scabbard on the rear of the bike, and that works just as well. The adjustable mounting system accommodates a variety of positions, so the best setup ultimately depends on your particular bike and personal preference.

This removable design makes it convenient to install the scabbard in the parking lot before heading out to shoot and remove it when you’re finished. When not in use, the scabbard can be stored in your vehicle, garage, or elsewhere. You can then ride your bike without the scabbard or any additional mounting hardware attached.

Every e-bike is a little different, but most fall into a few basic geometry categories. EbikeScabbard’s adjustable extrusions, “L” brackets, and clamps are designed to accommodate a wide range of bike configurations and mounting positions.

Some users have also chosen to eliminate the clamps altogether and bolt the “L” brackets directly to existing mounting points or braze-ons on their bikes. With these installations, the padded liner can still be easily removed and stored when not in use, helping protect it from unnecessary exposure to the elements.
